As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to climb in Fond du Lac County, two areas have remained relatively stable…the number of people hospitalized, and the number of COVID deaths. Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says that paints a picture of what percentage of the population is getting infected during this latest surge in cases. Mueller says most of the infections are still occurring in younger, less vulnerable people, and people not wearing masks or social distancing. There were 89 new positive COVID-19 cases in Fond du Lac County Wednesday, bringing to 2,622, the total numberof cases in the county. Eighteen people are hospitalized and there are 658 active cases.
