A retired Ripon College political scientist says president-elect Biden is likely to break barriers as he continues to fill out his white house team and cabinet ahead of his inauguration. Sources say Biden is expected to take a historic step and select a woman to head the Pentagon for the first time. Meanwhile political scientist Marty Farrell says it is concerning that Biden is still not receiving daily national security briefings at this point. Up to now the head of an obscure federal agency has been holding up Biden’s presidential transition as the Trump campaign continues to file election lawsuits and threaten recounts following the election.
