1-9-15 more stores closing in fdl forest mall

More store closings at the Forest Mall in Fond du Lac.  The A & A Chinese Buffet closed recently after a water pipe burst in the restaurant.  The manager of Deb confirms the store will be closing.    According to the company’s website Deb is a national specialty retailer of value priced, fashion-forward  apparel, footwear and accessories targeting female customers, generally  between the ages of 13 and 25.  The Company operates in more than 320 stores in 44 states and is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA.  The clothing store InStyle has not reopened after the Christmas holiday.  J.C. Penny closed last year and the Firestone tire store in the mall parking lot  closed last month.  Fond du Lac Community Development director Diane Benson says the news is disappointing.   “In the long run we have to look at this as a long-range planning opportunity,”  Benson told WFDL news.  Meanwhile, Sheboygan area restaurant owner and caterer Scott McMurray plans to open Three Guys and a Grill in the former Fond du Lac Trinity Restaurant in April.   McMurray currently operates two restaurants near Elkhart Lake along with a catering business.
