Just before Christmas Fond du Lac Area United Way officials were confident they were going to reach their goal. Executive Director Tina Potter says donation pledges and projections showed the fund drive would easily exceed the $745,000 goal. But two weeks before the money is allocated to member agencies Potter says the fund drive is still $10,000 short. “It looked like when we did projections we were going to go over that $745,000, actually by several thousand dollars,” Potter told WFDL news. “…and so here I am now and we’re $10,000 out yet.” Potter is making one last plea for area residents to step forward and make a donation.
