The body of one of two Fond du Lac men who fell out of a canoe on Lake Winnebago Sunday night has been recovered. Using sonar devices members of the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team recovered the body late Wednesday afternoon in the area they were focusing their search. With the dark conditions after sunset, combined with continued strong winds, below freezing temperatures, and turbulent waters, the search for the second victim was suspended for boat crew and diver safety. Both sheriff and DNR teams will resume the search for the remaining victim today. Dakota Goldapske and Michael Gohde, both 21 years old from Fond du Lac, fell out of the canoe Monday night about a mile north of the Fond du Lac River outlet.
