The City of Fond du Lac’s outdoor swimming pools are opening next week for a very abbreviated season. Parks director John Redmond says the Fairgrounds Aquatic Center and Taylor Park Pool will open Monday, July 5, and remain open, weather permitting, until July 31. Both pools are operating under a modified schedule this summer due to a shortage of lifeguards.
The Fairgrounds Aquatic Center will be open daily from 12:00 – 4:00pm and 5:00 – 7:00pm
for open swim. Attendees will need to leave the pool between sessions. Season passes are not
available and there will be no free or group rates available. The daily fee is $3.00 per person per
session and children 2 and under are free.
The Taylor Park Pool will be open Monday, July 5 through July 31 for Adult Lap Swim and Water Walking ONLY. The pool will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00 – 11:50am and 4:15 to 5:45pm, Saturday from 10:00 – 11:50am, and closed Sundays. Lap swimmers must still sign up for one-hour increments only three per week. The daily fee remains the same at $2.00 per
session.
