The president of Envision Greater Fond du Lac says the economic development agency plans to participate in a new workforce innovation grant program. Applications are now open for grants of up to $10 million to local and regional projects that are designed to meet the state’s next generation workforce needs. Envision president Sadie Parafiniuk says Envision is exploring a partnership with New North as well as working with surrounding counties. Parafiniuk says the grant program also provides scholarships for worker training. The grants will be administered through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and Department of Workforce Development.
