The president of Envision Greater Fond du Lac describes the ACE Academy at Fond du Lac High School as revolutionary. The New Manufacturing Alliance announced last week that the Fond du Lac program was named the recipient of the Brighter Image and Manufacturer Partnership School Award. Envision president Sadie Parafiniuk says she is really proud of the program and happy to hear that it is being recognized. The program was started in the 2015-16 school year in an effort to provide an opportunity for students interested in exploring the trades industry upon graduation. Parafiniuk says it was revolutionary at the time when it started as an effort to help students who did not plan to go to college after high school. The awards will be presented at the 10th annual Excellence in Manufacturing/K-12 partnership awards ceremony October 26 in Green Bay.
