A grant to improve Fond du Lac County COVID-19 vaccination rates among vulnerable populations through outreach, education and pop-up clinics has been extended. The Fond du Lac Area United Way received the initial grant through the state Department of Health Services last October to work with community partners in an effort to reduce barriers to the vaccine and address vaccine hesitancy. Community partners include the Salvation Army, FDL Literacy, ADVOCAP Head Start, FDL School District, The Children’s Museum, UW Extension Services, SSM Health, FDL County Health Department, and FDL Advocacy groups; Ebony Vision, Latino Unidos, United for Diversity, and the Hmong community.
