The executive director of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities says residents can trust their local election officials to run secure, transparent elections. The League and Wisconsin Counties and Towns Associations have launched a statewide ad campaign this month to help build faith in elections ahead of the April 5 election. League of Wisconsin Municipalities executive director, Jerry Deschane, says people sometimes get caught up in national political ferver and forget the basics. “The bottom line is people should be reassured because the people who are running these elections are their neighbors. They’re people they know, that they’ve come to know and trust,” Deschane told WFDL news.
