Fond du Lac police are continuing their investigation after a train plowed into an unoccupied vehicle over the weekend. The crash happened early Saturday morning on the Forest Avenue railroad tracks. A preliminary investigation shows the vehicle may have been attempting to make a turn when it became stuck or disabled on the tracks. Police say it is believed the vehicle was unoccupied when it was struck by the train. Police are still looking for the driver who fled the scene before officers arrived.
