There will be several new faces on the Fond du Lac city council following Tuesday’s spring election. Challengers Brett Zimmerman, Thomas Schuessler, Jane Ricchio and Ken Cassaday have all been elected to the council. Schuessler was the top vote getter with 2,952 votes followed by 2,920 votes for Zimmerman. Incumbent Donna Richards finished in last place. There were six contested Fond du Lac County Board races. Howard Hansen and Douglas Iverson were elected to the Ripon city council. Kat Griffith defeated Timothy Bachleitner for the District 1 seat being vacated by retiring board chairman Marty Farrell. Incumbents Karen Madigan, and Ken Depperman were reelected along with newcomers Tiffany Brault, Scott Rodman, and Angela Leuhring. Lori Van Buren and Megan VandeZande were winners in contested contests for the Waupun School Board. Richard Mathy, Jonathon Goeckerman and Terry Jaeger were all victorious in races for the North Fond du Lac School Board.
