Experts are watching for a potential new COVID-19 surge in the U.S. and wondering how long it will take to detect. After several weeks of daily positive cases in the single digits Fond du Lac County reported it’s first double-digit day this week. But Fond du Lac County Public Health Services supervisor Laura Berndt says its too early to say its the beginning of a surge. Berndt says health officials are increasingly focusing on hospital admissions, which rise only after a surge has arrived.
