Misdemeanor animal cruelty charges have been referred to the Dodge County District Attorney against an animal rescue business in Dodge County. The referral stems from an investigation conducted by agents of the Department of Ag, Trade and Consumer Protection division of animal health and Dodge County Sheriff’s Office involving Frosty Foster’s Animal Rescue in the town of Trenton. Law enforcement was acting on a tip regarding the conditions of the dogs at the shelter. Through investigation multiple misdemeanor charges were filed against the owner of the business including failing to provide proper food and drink to confined animals, improper shelter ventiilation, space and sanitation standards.
