4-6-22 Second Booster Shot

4-5-22 New study published in New England journal of medicine shows Ivermectin ineffective against Covid-19

A new study published in the New England Journal of Medicine finds that ivermectin, the horse drug, Joe Rogan championed as a COVID treatment, does nothing to cure the virus.    In the U.S., ivermectin prescriptions soared to 80,000 per week last August from a baseline of 3,600, prompting the CDC to issue a warning against using the drug.  The CDC said its poison control center had witnessed a fivefold increase in calls related to ivermectin […]

4-4-22 Covid-19 deaths in FDL county top 250

Fond du Lac County has topped 250 COVID-19 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.  On Friday the Health Department reported six more COVID-19 deaths, including a 36 year old woman.  There have now been 251 deaths related to the virus in Fond du Lac County.

3-31-22 Covid-19 cases remain low in FDL county

While the number of new positive COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin has been climbing this week the numbers in Fond du Lac County continue to remain low.  Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says three positive cases were reported Wednesday and one person is hospitalized in the county with COVID-19.  State Department of Health Services reported over 500 new confirmed cases Wednesday.

3-15-22 Zero Covid-19 hospitalizations in FDL County

For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic nobody is hospitalized with the virus in Fond du Lac County.  Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says when the first COVID-19 cases were reported in Fond du Lac County two years ago, one of the individuals was in the hospital and eventually became the first person in the state to die from the virus.
